Uganda Cricket Cranes Coach Laurence Mahatlane has highlighted his side still hold the advantage ahead of the rest, as progress will ultimately depend on their own show.

The South African feels the Cranes can pick a second win at the World Challenge League B second round, if they do the basics right against Italy on Friday at the Kyambogo Cricket Grounds.

“We are looking forward to the game and ensuring we keep working on our process. With our destiny still in our own hands, it is important we keep doing the simple things right,” he noted.

After shockingly losing against Jersey in the opener, Uganda lost another game to Hong Kong but, they managed to recover against Bermuda on Tuesday.

The last time Italy faced Uganda, the Pearl of Africa won by 38 runs. Bilal Hassan who is not part of the squad picked 5 wickets for just 27 runs in 8.4 overs.
