West Nile province is 90 minutes away from winning their first FUFA Drum title following a 2-0 first leg victory over Lango province on Saturday.

Captain Rashid Toha‘s direct freekick and a calm finish from Fred Amaku in front of a vibrant crowd at Greenlight Stadium in Arua handed them a vital two goals advantage.

The return leg will see KCCA FC and Uganda Cranes attacking midfielder Allan Okello‘s side host West Nile at the Akiibua Stadium in Lira in a must win game.

Come next weekend, they have an uphill task of shutting down West Nile’s Mohammed Shaban led side and score at least twice to level matters.

Lango’s Joachim Ojera was a thorn in West Nile’s flesh but his teammates failed to hand him a chance of picking an assist or two.

The third edition finals is set to give birth to a new winner as both sides are eyeing their maiden title.

This is West Nile’s second final having lost to Buganda province in the first edition of the FUFA Drum.
