The new FUFA Women Super League 2023/24 season will kick off on October 15, 2023, according to a meeting held this week between FUFA and FUFA Women Super League club CEOs.

The fixtures for the new season are expected to be released later this week.

Games will continue to be played in the morning, as they were last season, to help FUFA TV televise more league games and develop the game.

It was also confirmed that every Super League club must do double licensing, meaning that among every six players registered, there must be one double player.

The lower divisions were not part of the meeting and their kick-off dates for the new season remain unknown.

Last season, Kampala Queens FC won their maiden league title, losing only one game in the entire season.

She Maroons FC won the FUFA Women Elite League last season and Wakiso Hill WFC finished second, both gaining promotion to the FUFA Women Super League.

She Corporate FC and Olila H/S WFC were relegated to the FUFA Women Elite League.

With many teams making good transfers, the new FUFA Women Super League is expected to be very competitive.
