Hamson Obua, who has been the Minister of Sports, has been named out, with Peter Ogwang coming in as his successor.
Obua has been made the Government Chief Whip in the reshuffles made by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Thursday.
Ogwang, the legislator for Ngariam County (Katakwi District) has been the Minister of State for Economic Monitoring in the Office of the President.
Their reappointment is still pending a Parliamentary approval which is likely to swing in their favour.
Obua is credited for spearheading the lobbying and start of the renovation of the famous Mandela National Stadium, Namboole on top of the country registering a couple of success stories on the globe.
The outstanding performances in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics among many others led to the massive increase of the sports budget taking it to a tune of UGShs50 billion.
