In a Twaake moment, honourable Charles Galabuzi Mayanja has called on newly elected Netball Uganda president Jocelyne Ucanda to prioritize grassroots development in order to unearth hidden talent.
Galabuzi, who recently visited the Kansai Plascon-powered She Cranes in training ahead of the Fast5 Netball World Series in New Zealand, congratulated Ucanda on her election victory.
He emphasized the importance of nurturing young talent at the district level, stating, “Many talents are down there and not been scouted.”
The aspiring Member of Parliament for Bukuya Constituency also extended financial support to the She Cranes during his visit, urging other politicians and well-wishers to contribute to the team’s success.
Uganda is set to compete against top netball nations like Australia, New Zealand, England, Jamaica, and South Africa in the Fast5 Netball World Series on November 9th and 10th.
