Five teams from neighboring Kenya have confirmed their presence and participation in the 2023 Jinja Fun Rugby.
Jinja Fun Rugby is an annual mini Good Friday tournament and it will this year be held at Kakindu Stadium, after 17 years harbouring its home at the Dam Waters.
Each of the Western Bulls, Kabras Sugar, Busia Border Rucks, Kisumu RFC, and Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology will take part in the tournament.
It should be noted that Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology scooped the 2022 trophy, and is back to master defense.
Ugandan sides that will form part include Entebbe Mongers, Hippos, Busitema Boons, Tororo J’akwo Pere, Rams, Walukuba Barbarians, and Trojans among the men.
The ladies’ category will, on the other hand, have Nile Rapids, Thunderbirds, T-Birds, and the Ewes.
Meanwhile, the fans will have their own category under amateur. However, fans’ teams set to compete are yet to be confirmed.
