Fun Rugby has entered a partnership with Nile Special to bring more fun at the annual Jinja event slated for Good Friday, April 07th.

Nile Special takes over from beverage competitors Guinness, who have sponsored the event for the past years.

This year’s event will shift to Kakindu Stadium, in Jinja City having enjoyed its home at Dam Waters for the past 17 years.

“We’re glad to confirm that Fun Rugby and Nile Special to bring something more special this time round,’ Joshua Wakabi, who is the tournament manager revealed to the media on Friday.

Nile Special is the main sponsor for the National Rugby League, but have now taken up this mini-tournament with focus on bringing fun to the fans.

Meanwhile, last year’s edition was scooped by Kenya’s Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology.

“As you know, we’re the number one fan of rugby in the country, but also want to give the fans an experience,’ said Nile Special Eastern Region sales manager William Akankwasa.

“We shall have entertainment but above all, the fans will get to interact with their favorite players who will be coaching them,” he added.
