Kampala Queens FC, the 2022/23 FUFA Women Super League Champions, are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the forthcoming CAF Women’s Champions League Zonal qualifiers.
The Queens of soccer have reportedly tabled a bid to sign Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC duo Hadijah Nandago and Shakirah Nyinagahirwa on a short-term 6 months loan.
Nandago and Nyinagahirwa were both instrumental in Kawempe Muslim’s second-place finish in the FUFA Women Super League last season.

Nandago scored 8 goals and made 6 assists, while Nyinagahirwa was the MVP and top scorer with 12 goals and 7 assists.
If Kampala Queens are successful in their bid to sign the two players, it would be a major boost for their chances of qualifying for the CAF Women’s Champions League.
The tournament will be played in August this year in Uganda.

Kampala Queens FC are also expected to be boosted by the return of Fazila Ikwaput, who has signed a two-year contract with the club.
Ikwaput is a Uganda international who has played for clubs in Cyprus and Sweden. She is a striker who is known for her goalscoring ability.
The CAF Women’s Champions League is the most prestigious club competition in African women’s football.
