Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku will host the final game of the Rugby Africa Women’s Cup Pool B today as Uganda takes on Kenya.
The Lady Rugby Cranes and the Kenya Lionesses will lock horns in a must win encounter in pursuit of topping the group.
This year’s Women’s Africa Rugby Cup has four pools where the winners will be classified into the second phase of the tournament next year, to be used as a qualifier for 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup qualification.
With the global milestone as the target, both sides defeated Zambia with an identical score of 36-17 with Kenya picking a bonus point.
It might be a midweek game but that takes nothing away from the Matooke-Ugali derby as the ladies, fans and officials will be in for some mouthwatering action.
Both teams had a captain’s run at Wankulukuku stadium yesterday and all we can say is, all is set and Nnalubaale Sports will keep you posted.
