The national sevens calendar takes it’s second stop with the northern edition, Kitgum 7s, and rugby will be welcoming back more of her sons this weekend.
Stone City 7s and 2018 Champions, the Stanbic Black Pirates have added some speed to their squad with the addition of Engwau Joshua and Timothy Mala Odongo.
The Pirates, however, lost Desire Ayera to injury in Jinja.
Jinja Hippos, national sevens reigning champions have welcomed back the services of playmaker Bagalana Tawfiq who missed Stone City 7s for personal reasons.
Tawfiq’s brilliance will come in handy for Hippos to manage better than a quarterfinals exit.
Stone City 7s first runner up, KOBs, will see Adrian Kasito suit up in Kitgum and will be instrumental to try and topple the table leading Pirates.
On top of Kasito, Uganda U20s captain Calvin Gizamba will be on song for the Blue Army outfit.
Record champions, Heathens, have made a host of changes, leaving behind the seasoned services of Micheal Wokorach, Aaron Ofoywroth and Norbert Okeny.
Scott Oluoch makes a return to the national 7s scene, with Jordan Bongomin set to male his competitive return to rugby.
