The rugby premiership will this weekend come to an end in a finale, written in the stars, between table-leading KOBs and the resurgent Black Pirates.
Both teams sit on 75 points with superior points difference (almost 200) putting the KOBs ahead of the Pirates.
Despite registering two losses, the KOBs have picked up more bonus points than anyone including the Pirates who have only lost one game, to Saturday’s opponents, in the first round.
Saturday’s encounter will receive the extra spice of returning 7-a-side internationals in both camps, with local rugby glory on the line.
Off the pitch, the weather forecast is full of short shorts, incorrigible banter, and of course, loud cheers and ululations.
It is indeed a finale written in the stars, as we witness the two leading teams fighting in a winner-takes-all battle.
