Kyabazinga 7s: Heathens Stand Between Pirates And Glory At The Quarterfinals

It’s been a whirlwind of rugby these last two months as the nation’s 7s stars traverse the various regions to determine the best.

It all comes down to Day 2 of the Kyabazinga 7s as table-leading Pirates meet their only relevant challengers, Heathens, in the quarterfinals.

A win for the Stanbic Black Pirates earns them their second National 7s crown regardless of the results from the semifinal round which would follow.

A win for the Platinum credit Heathens would push the title-deciding for at least another round, with the team hoping Pirates have a howler in the 5-8 placements.

Elsewhere, the KOBs will come up against the hosts and Mileke Border 7s champs, Walukuba Barbarians – a game that is sure to have the bigger chunk of the blue army edgy.

The reigning champions, Jinja Hippos, who surrendered their title defense at the border face the stubborn Rhinos, as Mongers take on the Buffaloes to complete the four games of the quarterfinals.
