Nansana Galaxy are the champions of the 2022 Uganda National Ludo Super League.
They claimed the trophy in dramatic fashion on a colourful event yesterday at Tinka Pub in Nansana on the final day of the league.
Level on points (38) with Masaka Giants, Nansana Galaxy held a commanding seven goal advantage to win the title by the skin of the teeth on Match Day 22.
The champions went with a trophy, medals and a cash prize of 4,000,000/= while Masaka Giants pocketed a cash prize of 1,500,000 plus medals.
In the third position, Ntinda United who scored 35 points went home with a cash prize of 500,000/= and medals.
Arthur Mutebi from Nansana Galaxy was named as the league MVP while Frank Kasujja, the captain of Busega United emerged the league top scorer with 87 goals to his name.
The awarding ceremony was graced by the Ludo president Hussein Kalule who is also the president of the Africa body and Vice of the International Federation.
The league diced off on the 27th of March 2022 in Kireka with 12 teams battling for the championship.
Kireka Kisansa and Kazo hill were relegated to League one while Gulu City Ludo club and Kiboga Ludo club are the two teams who will be dicing in the top flight come next year.
Four more teams from the championship will be promoted to the top flight making it 16 teams next season with a home and away fixture.
