St. Lawrence League match day one of the first season kicked off in style with a lot on the menu. The roof harbouring all St. Lawrence Schools and Colleges had 12 matches on Sunday in a short version of eight aside hosted by St. Lawrence University grounds.
In between action, a fun interval had many off their seats as exciting challenges in; a sack race and tug of war took centre stage.
Back to the green a total of 29 goals were scored with only one game featuring Platinum and Santos FC ending in a barren draw.
At the end of the day Elite FC with two wins an a goal difference of five claimed the throne of match day one.
Behind them are three teams namely; Titans, Swords FC and Royal Wolves all with six points but separated by goal differences.
Out of the 14 teams on the fixtures, 12 honoured their games with only Thunderstorms and Mavuzi FC failing to come to the party.
Speaking about party, the hot day had Old Students empty brown bottles in record time on top of cleaning muchomo stoves.
At the food court, ice cream, coffee, soft drinks and fruits among others were cleared as music was playing in the background.
