Sport-S overcame KAVC‘s monstrous performance in today’s match which marked the closing of Round One of the regular season of the 2022/23 National Men’s Volleyball League.
Sport-S and KAVC presented themselves to the audience at Old Kampala Arena, in a first meet of the ongoing season with a battle full of twists and turns.
The nail-biting match had Sport-S complete a comeback from a set down to stretch the game into a decisive set thus winning the encounter 3-2.
KAVC did put their bodies on the line and the scores of; 25:20, 21:25, 25:27, 25:21 and 6:15 do paint a clear picture of how deep the Blacks had to dig for the victory.
Despite failing to win the game, KAVC became the first team to win a set, never mind two, from the table leaders this season, but it didn’t save them from not recording a second defeat in the season.
The Blacks continued their unbeaten streak (9-0) and remained at the top of the standings while KAVC trail them in second place.
