The Motocross Cranes are set for a thrilling weekend as they go head-to-head with Africa’s best in the FIM-Africa Motocross of African Nations Championship (MXoAN).

The action began Friday August 15, at Donnybrook Race Arena in Zimbabwe with scrutineering and practice sessions.

Now, the real battle begins on August 16 and climaxes on 17th as the two Cranes riders Akaki Apollo Milton Obote and Waleed Al Muzahim Ali Omar chase continental glory.

This year’s championship has drawn a strong field. Defending champions South Africa remain the team to beat, while Zambia brings its trademark fight.

Hosts Zimbabwe ride with home advantage, joined by competitors from Botswana, Namibia, Madagascar, and Kenya.

Uganda has lined up 36 riders across different classes, determined to make a mark and rise higher than ever.

Donnybrook, the heart of African motocross, provides the perfect test with sharp bends, big jumps, and fast straights, demanding both speed and bravery.

For the Cranes, this will be another race and a chance to show Uganda’s growing power in a sport long ruled by southern Africa. Every lap is a chance to prove they belong among the continent’s elite.
