National team and Wanderers star Rita Musamali led the 140 runs chase on her return to action.
Musamali (43 runs not out) ensured that the result was in favour of Wanderers as her side managed a total 143 runs.
Pioneer put up a better performance with the bat led by Leona Babirye‘s half century (75 runs) but it was in vain as Wanderers took care of the result.
The 7 wickets win moves Wanderers into second place, still in touch with leaders Aziz Damani as Pioneer remains winless this season.
On the road outside Kampala, there was a late show in Jinja as Mukono Community held on to claim their first win of the season.
In a low scoring thriller Mukono held their nerve to claim a 7 runs win thanks to a 67 runs at the expense of all wickets.
The win should boost the morale of Mukono who are competing in the league for the first time.
