It was a show of character and the right mentality as Nam Blazers came back from behind to beat seven time National Basketball League Champions, City Oilers 63-61.
The Friday victory at Lugogo Indoor Arena denied Oilers a chance of revenge having lost 72-65 in the first round.
By the end of the first quarter, the Oilers were 27-7 up and it all looked like a routine win on the evening, despite the absence of star player Tony Drilleba.
However, the Blazers rallied back and by the end of the third quarter, they had narrowed the gap to just two points.
They played their hearts out in the fourth quarter in some mouthwatering action that thrilled the huge crowd.
The Blazers were led by a double double from Amisi Saidi who put up 21 points and 14 rebounds.
For the Oilers, Ceaser Kizito led the way with 15 points whereas Jimmy Enabu and James Okello tallied 12 and 11 respectively.
Nam Blazers have a chance of getting into the playoffs as number one in case they manage victories in all their remaining games.
