Winners of the third round of the National Autocross Championship, Gomba Gorilla Raceway Mike Mukula Jr navigated by Edward Kiyingi picked their awards on Tuesday evening.
The hosting venue of the accoladation function, Olympic Lounge Restaurant off Bukoto street adjacent Acacia mall had drivers, their crews and fans in attendance.
The event was a highly competitive one-day event in Gomba district organised by Motorsport Club of Africa.
The track in Gomba was free thanks to generosity from the sports family of former Express FC Chairman and celebrated lawyer Julius Kavuma Kabenge.
At the awards giving ceremony, his son Lionel Kavuma Kabenge, also a lawyer, stressed that the venue is open to sports development.
“The track is a work in progress (but) slowly we will get there with your support and we look forward to many more events of such magnitude.”
