The UMC Fort Portal Tourism City Rally 2025 was officially unveiled today at Supremacy Lounge in Nakulabye, drawing a vibrant mix of rally crews, sponsors, and rally fans. Slated for 22nd to 24th August, the rally will traverse through districts of Kyenjojo and Fort Portal, covering a total of 280 kilometers of which 125 kilometers will be competitive and 155 kilometers liaison. The rally is backed by KCB Bank, Red Sun International, Trade Mate Cloud, and Dr. Henry Maseruka.

Kyenjojo will host two competitive stages (each repeated) and a Super Special Stage right in the heart of the town. On the other hand Fort Portal will feature three stages, with two repeated and the Trade Mate Cloud Stage serving as the Power Stage. Scrutineering will be conducted in Fort Portal on Friday 22nd August, followed by a ceremonial start at Panorama Hotel.
As the 5th round of the National Rally Championship, the event comes at a critical point in the season, with the championship standings still wide open. Any slip-up from the title contenders could drastically alter the leaderboard.

Stage 1 – Dr. Henry Maseruka Stage (17.33 km)
Narrow start, tricky if the heavens open, but once it clears boom! Flat-out to the finish. High speeds meet high stakes. Repeat it twice, and the pressure doubles.
Stage 2 – Red Sun International Stage (15.36 km)
Fast. Clean. But deceptive. Half the stage feels like a highway, then bam tight corners, village crossings, and moments where your co-driver’s notes are the only thing keeping you out of someone’s banana plantation. Also repeated.
Super Special Stage – Kyenjojo Town
Two cars, head-to-head, in the middle of town a fan favorite. This will mark the end of Day 1 before crews drive 44kms to Fort Portal for the overnight parc fermé.
Day 2
Stage 1 – Mukwano Karmali Stage (15.21 km)
Starting along Kampala Road in lush tea plantations, but don’t get too dreamy the slippery patches, a looping drop, and a river crossing are here to humble anyone getting too confident.

Stage 2 – Roma Motors Stage (13.33 km)
This stage carries history just ask Joshua Muwanguzi, who saw his first NRC win slip away here. It’s quick, clean, and full of drama, especially at the two hairpins where fans will be hanging off embankments for the best view. Done twice.
Stage 3 – Trade Mate Cloud Stage / Power Stage (12.53 km)
Fast, narrow, rocky, slippery and just when you think you’ve tamed it, a cheeky jumps towards the end try to launch your car into next week. Perfect for a grand finale, also done twice.

This is Round 5 of the NRC the championship is still wide open. A single mistake here could send a crew tumbling out of title contention. With KCB Bank, Red Sun International, Trade Mate Cloud, and Dr. Henry Maseruka backing the action, everything is set for a weekend of speed, skill, and spectacular scenery.
