Silverbacks preparations for the upcoming FIBA World Cup Qualifiers are progressing smoothly in Kigali, Rwanda, as head coach Mandy Juruni puts his squad through an intensive training programme ahead of the crucial qualification window in Angola.
Juruni welcomed the players into camp this week for a vital 10-day residential training stint, with the team focusing on fitness, tactics and team chemistry.
On Tuesday June 16, the Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations (FUBA) unveiled the 12-man squad that will represent Uganda during the third qualification window scheduled for July 2-5 in Luanda.

The camp in Kigali, which runs until June 30, is expected to give Juruni and his technical team enough time to fine-tune their plans before the Silverbacks travel directly to Angola. With valuable qualification points at stake, Uganda will be hoping the preparations in Rwanda provide the perfect platform for a strong showing in Luanda.
