Routine brilliance for Ibrahim Kasule, Frank Ssebufu

Ugandan youngsters Ibrahim ‘Baba’ Kasule and Frank Ssebufu continued their impressive form as they guided New York Red Bulls 2, to a dominant 4-2 win over Atlanta United 2.

Kasule bagged a brace as Ssebufu scored one to further extend their impressive form for the MLS Next Pro outfit.

Kasule scored his side’s opening goal before he added their fourth, as Ssebufu scored the second goal of the night.

The brace means Kasule took his tally to 13 goals and four assists in the last 12 games. Overall, he has played 22 games for New York Red Bulls 2.

On the other hand, Ssebufu has now scored six goals and made three assists in 23 matches since making the move in March this year.

The duo recently received a deserved Uganda Cranes call-up in the squad that will play Niger in the crunch Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Marakech Stadium, Morocco next month.

New York Red Bulls 2 stayed third, having accumulated 44 points in 24 matches, behind runners-up New England Revolution II and leaders Crown Legacy.
