UPDF Netball Club destroyed 1998 champions, Posta Netball Club in their match week five encounter honoured over the weekend at Kamwokya Community Sports Centre.
The Bombo Barracks based side were ruthless in registering their first win of the season as they shot down Posta 82-25.
The side coached by Wasswa Andrew proved that they were the superior on the day from the first to the last quarter and they scored over 15 goals per quarter.
In the first, they netted 16 and allowed Posta to score only four goals, and at the break, Posta had managed a total of 10 goals, the lowest they have scored this season in their first two quarters while UPDF had 38.
In the third quarter, Posta lifted their performance scoring nine goals in that quarter, but UPDF scored 26 in comparison and the final score came at 82-25.
UPDF became the first side to score over 80 goals this season thanks to Kevin Abe who scored 76 and she currently tops the scorers chart with 120 goals.
In other fixtures, Mutelx Life Sport Netball Club secured their first win in top flight league and it came against struggling Ugx Luweero.
Mutelx beat Luweero 44-35 while NIC beat Police 59-43 to record their second straight win this season.
Not forgetting, in the day’s opener, Police beat Ugx Luweero 63-36. The two sides had two games on the day with the latter losing both.
The league will return on Thursday 27th October 2022 at Kamwokya Community Sports Centre with four games
Despite not playing over the weekend, UCU remained on the top of the table with 6 points.
