Prisons Netball Club continued their strong start in the National Super League, defeating Makindye Weyonje 48-44 in a high-tempo Match Day 2 clash on Saturday.
The Queens have now won both of their games since the league resumed, recording a perfect two-out-of-two record.
The encounter was an exciting showcase of intense pace, exceptional speed, and intelligent play from both sides. Prisons Queens controlled the rhythm throughout, leading 13-11 after the first quarter, 28-20 at halftime, and 39-30 after the third before holding firm for the 48-44 final score.
Makindye Weyonje fought back bravely, particularly in the closing stages, but Prisons demonstrated excellent defensive discipline and clinical finishing to secure the narrow victory.
The Queens had been scheduled to face KCCA on Sunday, but the fixture has been rescheduled to a later date to be communicated.
