Uganda XI won by 9 wickets
It was one-sided afternoon as Uganda’s Cricket Cranes dismantled MCA Colts XI by nine wickets at the Adani Stadium to seal an unassailable 3-0 lead in the four-match 50-over series.
From the first over, Uganda were in control. The hosts never settled, and their innings unraveled quickly under relentless pressure from a disciplined bowling attack.
Finger spinner Joseph Baguma led the charge with outstanding figures of 3 for 10, breaking the backbone of the MCA Colts XI batting. He was well supported by Aakar Rane, who impressed with 2 for 14, and Alpesh Ramjani, who strangled the middle order with 2 for 3, including three maidens.
MCA Colts XI never recovered after early strikes from Juma Miyaji and Cosmas Kyewuta. Wickets kept falling at regular intervals, and only Harsh Rane, with 18, showed any resistance. The hosts were eventually bowled out for just 56 in 26.3 overs.
Captain Fred Achelam’s decision to bowl first paid off perfectly on a surface that offered just enough help for disciplined bowling. Uganda stuck to tight lines, kept the pressure on, and never allowed MCA Colts XI room to play freely.
Baguma was named Player of the Match for his match-defining spell.
Chasing 57, Uganda made it look simple. Raghav Dhawan set the tone with a quick 20 off 16 balls, while Sarvesh Patil finished unbeaten on 19. Ronald Lutaaya added 9 not out as Uganda raced to 58 for 1 in just 6.3 overs.
The win extends Uganda’s dominance on tour and reflects growing confidence in Steve Tikolo’s squad as they build towards upcoming ICC assignments.
Uganda now lead the series 3-0 with one match left, where they will aim for a clean sweep when both sides meet again on Sunday at the same venue.
