Zambian giants Kabwe Warriors plus two Ugandan sides; SC Villa and BUL FC are in a race for Kitara FC’s Dudu Ramathan’s signature.

In January this year, SC Villa and BUL FC approached the defender but he decided to first end the season, according to reliable sources.

Dudu is now ready for a move but his former clubs face stiff competition from the second most successful Zambian Club Kabwe Warriors.

After failing to win the league, SC Villa are now focusing on strengthening their squad with Dudu on their wishlist.

In the race too, the Jinja-based side, BUL FC wants to land the solid defender following a disappointing season of 2022/23 as they finished seventh on the log.

In case Dudu joins the Warriors, he will link up with Ugandan midfielder Hashim Ssempala who joined the club in July 2021.

Kabwe Warriors is the former home for Ugandan left-back Shafiq Batambuzze as well as goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan.

Dudu rejoined Kitara FC from Mbarara City last summer and now, the journeyman is likely to leave for greener pastures.

The defender scored four goals as his side won the 2022/23 FUFA Big League to gain promotion to the Uganda Premier League.

The versatile defender has also previously featured for Mbarara City, Onduparaka FC, SC Villa, and BUL FC all in the topflight.
