The 2022/23 FUFA Women’s Cup winners Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC are in talks to reunite with coach Rogers Nkugwa who is currently the head coach of Asubo Gafford Ladies FC.

In 2022, Nkugwa coached his last game at Uganda Martyrs as his side defeated Rines SS WFC 2-0 in Wakiso.

He stayed unemployed since then until he joined Asubo Gafford Ladies FC at the start of the second round of the 2022/23 FUFA Women Super League season.

The gaffer guided Asubo Gafford Ladies to win the 2022/23 FUFA Women Beach Soccer League title. He also managed to help the team survive relegation and stay in the FUFA Women Super League.

In case Nkugwa makes a U-turn to Uganda Martyrs, it will be his third stint at the team for the gaffer who has previously coached Uganda Martyrs, Lady Doves, She Makerere among others.
