Uganda Men’s Futsal Super League Select Team Defeats Somalia in a 7-Goal Thriller

Uganda Men’s Futsal Super League select team has today defeated Somalia select team in an exciting game played at Old Kampala Futsal Arena.

Abidkarim Omar scored in the 3rd and 14th minutes to give Somalia select team an early 2-goal lead.

Two minutes later, Samuel Omara pulled one back for Uganda select team before Andrew Kayanga netted the equalizer for Uganda.

Somalia’s Sabir Abdirizak scored in his own net to put Uganda in a lead.

Uganda’s Kevin Sekimbega then netted the fourth goal to put the team in a comfortable lead.

Pressure mounted on Uganda when Abidkarim Omar scored Somalia’s third goal to complete his hat-trick for the game.

Uganda contained Somalia till to the final whistle to earn a hard fought win against Somalia.

The Muhammad Ssembatya coached side got their first ever win over Somalia after losing the first meeting in 2018.

The two teams will meet again on Saturday 22nd July, 2023 in another friendly game.
