Emmanuel Isaneez, the head coach of the Uganda U-19 men’s cricket team, has urged his players to not dwell on their no-result against Namibia in the U-19 World Cup Qualifier.

The match was abandoned after just seven overs due to persistent drizzles, and the two teams were forced to share the points.

However, Isaneez is confident that his team can still qualify for the World Cup, which will be held in Sri Lanka in 2024.

“We are not dwelling on that result,” Isaneez said.

“The result calls for us winning each game that comes our way for us to be able to qualify for the World Cup.”

“We are trying to keep things simple, control only the controllable and leave nature to take its course.”

“I believe if we take one game at a time, we will achieve the ultimate goal.” he added.

Uganda is one of six teams competing in the U-19 World Cup Qualifier, and only one team will qualify for the World Cup.

The other teams in the competition are Namibia, Tanzania, Kenya, Sierra Leone, and Nigeria.

The next match for Uganda is against Nigeria on Tuesday.
