Uganda had given themselves hope of qualifying for the quarterfinals after an impressive 85-80 victory over Morocco on Monday.

However, they were unable to replicate that performance against the physical Guineans and were comprehensively beaten.

The Junior Silverbacks will now face hosts Tunisia in a classification match for positions nine and ten on Friday.

Tejan Joel Rugette was Uganda’s top scorer against Guinea with 19 points, while Harry Tindyebwa and Aine Christian Turyahabwe added 13 and 10 points respectively.
