Uganda’s Victoria Pearls Crush Rwanda in Kwibuka Women’s T20 Tournament

The Uganda women’s cricket team, the Victoria Pearls, continued their unbeaten run at the Kwibuka Women’s T20 tournament in Kigali, Rwanda, on Thursday, crushing the hosts by 10 wickets.

The Pearls won the toss and elected to bowl first, and their bowlers responded by dismissing Rwanda for just 32 runs in 12.5 overs.

Captain Consy Aweko was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 wickets for just 2 runs.

Evelyn Anyipo, Irene Alumo, and Phionah Kulume each took 1 wicket.

In reply, the Pearls chased down the target in just 5.4 overs, with Janet Mbabazi scoring 20 runs off 17 balls.

The Pearls will face Nigeria in their next match on Friday.
