Their chances of beating relegation are almost finished, as they sit 8 points below the safe zone with only 3 games to play.
After a goalless halftime draw, Kenneth Kimera scored a header to put Express FC 1-0 up.
Marvin Praise Wambuga and Marvin Nyanzi scored in the 60th and 73rd minutes, sealing the win for the away team in Butema.
After the painful loss, Buhimba United Saints are sitting at the bottom of the Uganda Premier League with only 15 points, while Lugazi FC edges the safe zone with 23 points.
Calvary FC Midigo and UPDF FC are with Buhimba under the relegation line, with 16 and 21 points, respectively.
Buhimba United Saints started their first-ever top-flight campaign on a high, leading the table after three opening games, but failed to match the form in the 24 games after, collecting only 6 points out of a possible 72.
Away from the bizarre situation of Buhimba, the league also had a game at Wankulukuku stadium where SC Villa, on their return to the venue got held by BUL FC 0-0.
The League continues with League Leaders Vipers SC at home St Mary’s Kitende hosting URA FC who are still living under a relegation threat with just 4 points above the drop zone.
The league, which is scheduled to wind up on May 23, will see Kitara FC hosting NEC FC at Royal Park Butema in the fixture that will seal game week 27 on Saturday, May 9.
