2025/26 Uganda Premier League | Wednesday May 6, 2026 | MD 27
- Calvary FC Vs Police FC – Midigo Primary School Playground, Yumbe | 4 pm
Police are chasing a league double over Calvary as the Uganda Premier League heads into a decisive phase, with the two sides meeting at Midigo Playground in Yumbe.
The visitors arrive in good shape. Sixth on the table with 44 points, they have already done better than last season’s 11th place finish.
A 2-0 win over UPDF in the Forces derby, sealed by Charles Baale and Brian James Obedi, lifted confidence ahead of this trip.
Police also carry the edge from the reverse fixture. In January, they beat Calvary 2-0 in Kamwokya, with Obedi and Kasumba on target, and will be aiming for a similar outcome.
They are, however, short on numbers. Goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga is out with an injury, Lawrence Tezikya is away on family matters, while Ivan Eyamu, Daniel Otto and Derrick Maviri remain sidelined.
Kizito Ryan Figo returns from suspension.
For Calvary, it is about survival. Bottom of the table with 13 points from 26 matches, the newcomers risk becoming the first team relegated this season.

If they lose and both Mbarara City and UPDF win, their fate will be sealed.
Still, there is some fight. Calvary’s only two wins this season have come in their last five matches, against Buhimba United Saints and KCCA, offering a slim lifeline.
With only two teams going down this season, hope remains, but it is fading fast and Calvary must win to stay alive while Police look to stay on course and complete the double.
Elsewhere, Lugazi will host Mbarara City at the Lugazi Stadium in Najjembe at 4 pm.
