Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women FC bounced back from a heavy 4-1 defeat to Kampala Queens in matchday 4 with a 2-0 victory against Makerere University Women FC.
Hosting She Mak at St Gerald playground, Uganda Martyrs left nothing to chance as they started off strong from the onset.
The early pressure was rewarded with two goals in the first 15 minutes. The first goal from Brenda Munyana came after just 4 minutes from kickoff thanks to a clean finish from the midfielder.
11 minutes later, Uganda Martyrs got their second goal of the game from Kevin Nakacwa.
She Mak who were on the backfoot suffered a setback when goal keeper Martha Kabiri collided with a Uganda Martyrs striker, forcing her off the pitch.
Going for the kill, the home side scored what would have been a third goal from Latifah Nakasi in the 25th minute but the referee nullified the goal for an offside.
The score remained 2-0 until half time and in the second half, both teams looked leveled up, each attacking and defending to their best but without finding the back of the net.
In the end Uganda Martyrs came out with a comfortable win and maintained their unbeaten record at home.
