The second quarter was tighter as both teams defended well, but RezLife Saints stayed in control and went into halftime with a 30-25 advantage.

JT Jaguars came back stronger after the break, applying full-court pressure that unsettled the Saints. Their effort paid off as they edged ahead 43-41 at the end of the third quarter.

But RezLife Saints responded in the final period. They handled the pressure better, took care of the ball, and found their rhythm again to pull away and seal the win.

Ekau’s 24 points stood out, with Hon Kwany adding 10 as the only other Saint in double figures. JT Jaguars had three players in double digits, with Ian Lubwama scoring 16, Peter Sifuma 13, and George Odeke 11.

The win gives RezLife Saints a strong finish to the first round and momentum going forward ahead of the second.

Elsewhere, City Oilers Basketball Club returned to winning ways with a 72-57 result.

In the Women, Pearl Queens lost 59-49 to Nabisunsa Girls and JT Lady Jaguars dominated Angel Basketball 80-22.
