The 2022/23 FUFA Big League took yet another turn as two of the chasing pack, Kitara FC and Mbarara City FC slipped up in their respective Thursday encounters.
Kitara dropped two points after drawing 1-1 in their away game with Soroti City FC at the Soroti Stadium, with the former finding solace in star forward Patrick Kaddu.
Despite the result though, Kitara stayed put at the summit with 27 points in 13 matches, while Soroti are runners-up from the base with 11 points.
Meanwhile at Paridi Stadium, hosts Adjumani TC FC held division two giants Mbarara City FC to a two-all stalemate.
As a result, the latter slipped to third with 26 points, whereas Adjumani is now 14th, having garnered 12.
On the other hand, NEC FC who entered Thursday’s fray in third, pulled themselves to second (27 points) following their edgy 1-0 victory over Lugazi FC, leaving the latter 12th with 14 points.
In the other results, Kaaro Karuungi and Ndejje University were locked in a two-all stalemate, while Police FC edged Northern Gateway SC 1-0, at the Gate Stadium.
Calvary FC beat Booma FC 3-2 while Jinja North United and Kataka FC played out a one-all draw, with Luwero United thrashing Kyetume FC 3-0.
