Former KCCA FC forward Patrick Kaddu‘s scintillating start to life in the FUFA Big League stretched after he scored twice for Kitara FC in their 3-1 victory over Jinja North United FC.
The Uganda Cranes star is now the leading goal scorer in the second tier with a huge seven goals in three matches.
In Hoima on Thursday, Edison Matama scored Jinja North’s consolation while Edson Agondeze added Kitara’s third. Kitara now sit second with seven points on the log.
Meanwhile, National Enterprise Corporation (NEC) FC made it three wins in as many games after a 2-1 win over Ndejje University FC at Bombo, to stay top with nine points.
Derrick Ssekiranda and Stephen Nyaiga netted for the hosts following Samuel Ngabo’s earlier strike for Ndejje.
On the other hand, Northern Gateway were 3-0 winners over Soroti City FC at Soroti Municipal Stadium, courtesy of goals from Denis Amut, Emmanuel Obete and Stephen Oriokot’s own goal. They are now eighth with four points.
At the Kakyeka Stadium, Henry Kitegenyi, Ibrahim Tembo, and Seiri Arigumaho were all on the score-sheet as Mbarara City FC, who are now third with seven points, beat Lugazi FC 3-1, whose consolation goal came from Gerald Ogweti.
Elsewhere, Luwero United FC (sixth with four points) edged Booma FC 3-2 in an entertaining encounter. Denis Omedi scored twice while Fred Alinatwe added one for the former, while Booma had their goals through Gabriel Elagu and Isaac Balyejusa.
Further, Police FC edged Kataka FC 1-0 in Kavumba courtesy of Herman Wasswa‘s goal for the Cops to rise to the fourth position with six points.
Meanwhile, Kyetume FC started life in the current Big League season with a 2-1 loss to Calvary Football Club at Midigo.
There was no winner at the Paridi Stadium between Adjumani Town Council FC and Kaaro Karungi FC, as it ended in a one-all stalemate.
