Vipers SC duo of Siraje Ssentamu and Najib Yiga were at the wrong side of luck as they both missed a slot in Uganda Cranes’ final African Nations Championships (CHAN) squad.

The two were curtailed by respective injuries, which in turn eased head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevich’s job of selecting the final 23-man team.

Even with the duo missing, Vipers still dominated the team for any local side, with a huge representation of nine players.

Goalkeeper Jack Komakech, defenders Ashraf Mandela, Hilary Mukundane, and Isa Mubiru are among the 23-man team.

The other Vipers’ stars include Marvin Joseph Youngman, Milton Karisa, Karim Watambala, Bright Anukani and winger Ibrahim Orit.

Uganda is set to get her campaign off the mark on Saturday, against Democratic Republic of Congo at the 19 May Stadium, Annaba.

Senegal and Ivory Coast will provide the other opposition to the Cranes in Group B.
