Cricket Cranes win by 53 runs (Lead 4-0 in series )

Cricket Cranes moved onto a dominant 4-0 lead of the 50 over series on their Mumbai tour after beating the Mumbai Cricket Association Colts XI by 53 runs at the Adani Stadium on Sunday.

Uganda were made to work for the victory after MCA Colts captain Pranav Kela won the toss and chose to field first.

The visitors started brightly, with all of the top six batters getting starts, but none managed to turn them into a big innings.

Sarvesh Patil top-scored with a quick 49 off 38 balls, while debutant Fahad Mutagana impressed with a composed 31 on his Uganda XI debut. Fellow debutant Enock Kasaija also made his first appearance for the side.

Uganda were eventually bowled out for 194 in 44.2 overs, with leg-spinner Satyam Chaudhary starring for the hosts with 5 for 33. Shivam Gupta added 3 for 39.

The chase, however, belonged to Uganda’s bowlers.

On a turning surface, the Cricket Cranes controlled the game with disciplined spin bowling and sharp fielding to bowl out MCA Colts for 141 in 35.2 overs.

Joseph Baguma led the attack with 3 for 37, while debutant Kasaija marked his first game with 2 for 25. Siraje Nsubuga also kept things tight with figures of 1 for 14.

Alpesh Ramjani was named Player of the Match after scoring 23 off 27 balls and taking 2 for 19 in 8.2 overs.

The win sealed a clean sweep for Uganda in the 50-over series as the Cricket Cranes continued their strong form on tour. Uganda will now play one more 50-over match against MCA before shifting focus to a three-match T20 series.
