Mbogo High Warriors and newcomers SR Kuku were the standout teams on match day two of the National Badminton League at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Saturday, delivering strong performances in both the professional and corporate categories.
The day’s action produced intense contests and dominant wins as teams pushed for an early advantage in the standings.
SR Kuku continued their bright start in the corporate league with two convincing victories. The newcomers thrashed KBC Corporate Badminton Club 5-0 before defeating Dream Team 4-1 to maintain their unbeaten run.
Mbogo High Corporate bounced back strongly after a 4-1 loss to SH Badminton Club, responding with a commanding 5-0 win over Baryan Badminton Club Bukoto.
KCB Corporate also showed their quality with a dominant 5-0 victory over SH Badminton Club.
In the professional league, Seroma Christian High School opened their campaign in style with a 5-0 win over KBC Badminton Club.
Mbogo High Warriors then edged SR Kuku 3-2 in one of the most competitive ties of the day before comfortably beating KBC Badminton Club 5-0.
SR Kuku recovered well from the narrow defeat, beating Seroma Christian High School 4-1 before overcoming Sharing Badminton Club by the same scoreline.
Sharing Badminton Club later ended the day strongly with a 5-0 victory over KBC Badminton Club as the battle for early league control continued to take shape.
