USSSA Ball games I: Constant beginning as both Boys and Girls Badminton shuttled off

At Seroma Christian High School, the boys’ and girls’ Badminton championship under USSSA Ball games I shuttled off, with teams registering consistent results.

On Friday, May 1, eight matches took place, with 3-0 results dominating the day; all losing teams finished with zero points in seven games.

In the girls’ Badminton championship, in group A, Kakungulu Memorial won over St. Michael School Sonde with Vilger Najjuma, Victoria Namubiru, and Josephine Kobusingye winning their singles by straight sets over Mukama Pearl Ayebale, Nina Komuhangi, and Erina Natukunda.

In Group B, Shree Shahajanad School won by walkover; in Group C, Sacred Heart Mushanga defeated St. Michael Green 3-0; while in Group D, Wampeewo Ntake SS won 3-0 over Bishop’s SS.

In Boys’, also started with group A where St. Mary’s College Kisubi swept the game at Singles encounters over St. Joseph’s SS, Namilyango College also humbled Mbarara High in group B.

In group C, Bishop’s SS won over Janan SS while in group D, Kinaawa High School defeated Mengo SS to wrap up day 1 of the Badminton Championships.

The competition shall continue tomorrow, Saturday, with over 30 games across Boys’ and Girls’ Championships in all groups.

A total of 40 school teams are taking part in both championships, which are ongoing until May 9, with the number split evenly between Boys and Girls.
