The USSSA Ball Games II Kabaddi Championship enters day four on Sunday with exciting fixtures lined up in Gulu as teams continue battling for top honours in the round-robin competition.
One of the day’s biggest clashes will see Kyadondo Secondary School Matugga face St Barnabas College Matugga in the boys’ category. Both teams head into the contest with their heads held high after impressive performances in the opening three rounds.
The championship, which got underway on Wednesday, July 8, has already produced thrilling encounters, with the meeting between the two Wakiso Zone and Matugga Sports District schools expected to be one of the highlights of the tournament.
Kyadondo SS opened their campaign with a 51-35 victory over Masindi SS, while St Barnabas College defeated Masindi Christian High School 63-22.
In other matches played so far, St Barnabas overcame Bombo Army 55-26, while Kyadondo SS beat Masindi Christian High School 44-30.
The boys’ competition continues on Sunday with Bombo Army taking on Masindi SS before Kyadondo SS returns to action later in the day against Sir Tito Owinyi.
In the girls’ category, Masindi Christian High School will face Masindi SS, Kyadondo SS will take on Bombo Army, and St Barnabas College will play Sir Tito Owinyi. Mulusa Academy will then meet Masindi Christian High School in the evening fixture.
After three days of competition, Kyadondo SS, St Barnabas College and Masindi SS are among the leading teams as the championship continues until July 18.
