Luweero Region champions Standard High School Zzana-Ndejje Campus (STAHIZA-Ndejje Campus) have officially embarked on their journey to Gulu for the USSSA Ball Games II National Championships after earning qualification through an impressive regional campaign.
The team departed the school on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 5:32 p.m. with a squad of 20 players and travelled overnight, arriving safely in Gulu at 12:43 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, ahead of the tournament.
STAHIZA-Ndejje Campus heads into the national championships full of confidence after being crowned champions of the USSSA Ball Games II 2026 Luweero Regional U17 Football Championship.
The side secured the regional title with a convincing 2-0 victory over Mulusa Academy Wobulenzi in the final, courtesy of goals from Lutwama Hussein and Kungu Abdul Rahman.
The team’s impressive regional campaign was further highlighted by individual accolades. Goalkeeper Sula Muzee was named the tournament’s Best Goalkeeper for his outstanding performances throughout the competition, while Hassan of Mulusa Academy Wobulenzi finished as the tournament’s top scorer.
Having successfully conquered the Luweero Region, STAHIZA-Ndejje Campus now turns its attention to the national stage, where it will compete against the country’s best U17 school football teams.
The players and technical team will be aiming to carry their winning momentum into the championship as they seek to make a strong impression and challenge for national honours at the USSSA Ball Games II in Gulu.
