Wanderers Cricket Club and Tornado Bees Cricket Club shared a win each in their Women’s T20 National League Division One double header at Florida Oval on Saturday, with both sides producing a strong performance to earn a victory.
Wanderers claimed the morning contest by 30 runs after recovering from a poor start to post 100 for four in revised16 overs.

Reduced to 16 for three, Wanderers found a saviour in Shadia Nabulime Giligish, who remained unbeaten on 33, while Mary Namiiro struck 51 to guide her side to a competitive total.
Tornado Bees struggled in reply as Wanderers’ disciplined bowling and sharp fielding kept the pressure on throughout the chase. Three run outs further hurt Tornado’s chances, while Mary Namiiro completed an impressive all round display by taking two wickets.
Jackline Nakayovu’s 23 and Rashida Kulusum’s 20 were not enough as Tornado closed on 70 for five.
Tornado responded in the afternoon with a convincing seven wicket victory.

Wanderers managed 102 for nine from their 20 overs, with Sonia Nampeera scoring 22 and Judith Nakasagga adding 18. Hope Wankan and Jackline Nakayovu picked up two wickets each to keep the innings under control.
Chasing 103, Rashida Kulusum anchored the innings with 47 before Sandra Acwao finished the job with an unbeaten 13 as Tornado reached 104 for three with four balls to spare.
Elsewhere, Soroti City Cricket Club completed a double over Jinja SS Cricket Club at Jinja Oval. After winning the morning match by 57 runs, Soroti comfortably chased down 99 in the afternoon, reaching the target with five wickets in hand and 22 balls remaining.
