A Gladiators team of 28 men continues to undergo preparations for the Africa Kabaddi Men’s Cup of Nations, in the hope of taking place on August 1st and 10th in Zanzibar.

The team under Coach John Nsibambi, via training sessions taking place at Ridge Way Primary School in Matugga, is in search of the 16-man squad that shall be flagged off on July 26 for Zanzibar.

In the last editions that were held in Nairobi, Kenya, Uganda was defeated 44-23 by the host as they settled for a silver medal in 2024.

With early preparations, Uganda is looking to beat the odds where they failed in the last editions in order to become continental champions.
