Ludo Federation unveils 2022 MVP nominees shortlist

Uganda Ludo Federation’s technical and competitions committee has today evening disclosed four candidates to contest for the 2022 best player award.

The last calendar year’s most valuable player shortlist has four names consisting of three male and one female.

The best Ludo player will be decided by a panel of experts with valid licenses and certificates from the federation namely; referees, team coaches and players of the sport.

The voting process will close on the 10th of January 2023 and two days after, declaration of final results will be done. The winner will be awarded during the annual June assembly.

  • MUBIRU EMMANUEL

He was part of the National Team (Uganda Doves) that recently won the World Ludo Championships, 2022 that were held in Nepal and Dubai.

The skilled player was not only very instrumental on national duty, but he also contributed a lot to his team Nansana Galaxy who were crowned as champions of the 2022 National Ludo Super League.

  • MATOVU HUZAIFA

It’s by no surprise that the captain of Uganda Doves is among the nominees for this prestigious award.

He had a prolific campaign where he helped Doves win the 2022 World Ludo title. He further helped his club Masaka Giants to become the runner’s up in the super league, 2022.

  • NAGADDYA BETH

Accordingly to World rankings, she is the best Ugandan and African female Ludo player.

With her virtuoso performances ,Beth was recently recognized as the best female player in the World ludo Championship, 2022 after showing her master of class dicing with men.

She also played an integral role for Nansana Galaxy who won the 2022 top flight trophy.

  • MUTEBI ARTHUR

He is a Nansana Galaxy gold medalist as well as a mini-trophy achiever as the 2022 Ludo Super League winner and MVP.

Mutebi was very influential in the Nansana Galaxy team that won its first ever National Ludo Super League title.
