The National Club Championship will return to Mbarara City, the Uganda Volleyball Federation (UVF) has confirmed.
The Youths Volleyball Club will be the host team for the two-day tournament due on September 2nd and 3rd.
“National Club Championship 2023 is going to be held in Mbarara City,” the Volleyball federation revealed in a statement.
It is worth noting that in 2021, the tournament was held in Kabale (also Western Uganda), while last year, it was hosted in Iganga.
For starters, the Club Championship acts as a qualifier for teams representing Uganda at the Africa Club Championship.
In the men’s category, the past two editions have been clinched by Sport-S, and will thus be looking to make it a hat-trick of titles.
On the other hand, in the ladies’ category, OBB will head to the West as the defending champions.
