With the home crowd expected to erupt at Lugogo Indoor Arena, Uganda Men’s Volleyball National Team head coach Shilla Omuriwe has named his final squad for the CAVB Zone V Qualifiers, trimming the group ahead of the continental showdown.
Uganda will host the tournament from 31st May to 6th June 2026, with Kenya, Rwanda, and Egypt among the top challengers.

The setting duties fall to Oboke Marino and veteran Okumu Smith, trusted to control tempo and supply the attack.
At opposite, Uganda will rely on Iga Mohammed and Qatar-based professional Okello Daudi, expected to carry the scoring load in key moments.
The middle block is anchored by Omoding Muzafaru Owen, Opila Bosco, Talemwa Willington, and Malinga Bernard, tasked with shutting down opposition attacks at the net.
In defence, the libero role goes to Elanyu Emmanuel and Nabanji Sharif, providing stability and control in reception.
