The 2022 Uganda National Novice Boxing Championship attracted 789 boxers from all walks of the country.
The week long elimination games started on the 20th of November with the preliminaries at the Volleyball grounds in Lugogo as boxers punched their way to the finals.
On Sunday the 27th of November, the best boxers faced off in the finals held at CFK Badminton Academy off Mawanda Road on the slope towards Kalerwe market.
Sparks Boxing Club took first position thanks to an accumulated 66 points. In second place was East Coast Boxing Club on 61.
The last podium place witnessed a fierce contest as Cobap on 57 points leapfrogged Lukanga by a single point.
