Bright Taddeo Nyanzi has left his role as head coach of Rines Secondary School‘s girls football team after the school withdrew from the upcoming FEASSSA games.
Nyanzi was disappointed with management’s decision to withdraw the Namusera side, as they had qualified for the games after finishing third in the USSSA games in Mbarara earlier this year.
This is not the first time Rines SS has withdrawn from the East Africa tournament.
In 2022, the school also withdrew from the FEASSSA games in Tanzania to focus on the league which was about to start before the end of FEASSSA games.
However, this year Rines SS have enough time to compete in FEASSSA games and also prepare for the league but the bosses have made a hurtful decision to withdraw the school.
Nyanzi doubles as the head coach of Rines SS WFC in the FUFA Women Super, and almost 95% of the club’s players play for the school’s team.
The Federation of East African Secondary Schools Sports Associations games will be played between 16th-27th August, 2023 in Rwanda.
The future of who will coach Rines SS WFC in the FUFA Women Super League next season is now in doubt after Nyanzi’s departure.
Nyanzi will be remembered for helping Rines SS WFC to gain FUFA Women Super promotion for the first time when they finished second in the 2020/21 FUFA Women Elite League.
He also helped Busiro to win their maiden Masaza Cup in 2022 as the second assistant coach.
